A white room, a lit backdrop and one sitting at a time
Sightline Headshot Studio occupies a single room on Aborn Street. The walls are white because a face is easier to judge against nothing at all.
The studio was set up around one working rule: nothing is generated from a face that has not sat in front of the camera. Every variation a client receives is built from frames photographed during their own sitting, and a person compares each one against those frames before it is sent. That rule costs the studio work, because it turns some enquiries into a booked sitting and a wait. It is kept because the alternative is a picture the client has to explain away.
Reference pictures are read, not copied. A photograph brought to a consultation describes an intended result -- a background, a crop, a way of holding the shoulders. What follows is a new sitting made for that brief. Building a headshot from a photograph of someone who has not sat is declined, and the reason is given at the consultation rather than after the deposit.

The estimate is the price
A published price applies to the published scope. A change in scope is quoted before it is made, never invoiced after it.

One photographer, one sitting
The photographer who runs the consultation is the photographer who runs the sitting. A booking is not passed along to free up an hour.

A decline is an answer
Work outside the studio's range is declined at the consultation, with a reason. That is a shorter conversation than a set of pictures nobody can use.
The four steps between an enquiry and a delivered set

Enquiry
The contact form or the telephone. A preferred photographer can be named; availability is confirmed separately.

Step 2
Consultation
No charge, no commitment. Wardrobe, background, crop and the intended use of the picture, written down at the end.

Step 3
The sitting
Twenty to forty frames made in the studio and reviewed on a tethered screen as they are taken, so the selection is agreed in the room.

Step 4
Review and delivery
Variations generated from those frames, checked one by one against the originals, then delivered in five business days.
What this website does
This site publishes the studio's services, prices and hours and carries a contact form. It does not confirm an appointment. The Book action sends the visitor to the studio's configured booking destination, and a date is only ever confirmed by the studio directly.
