The shape of the visit is agreed before it begins

Cedarlight Day Spa asks what the visit is for, confirms the service, the length and the price out loud, and starts only once all three have been agreed.

How Cedarlight Day Spa works

The visit is talked through first, in the lounge and in plain words, and read back before anything begins: what the service covers, how long the room is held, which products are used and what it costs. Cedarlight is a spa and not a clinic, so nothing here is offered as treatment for a condition, and a visit that turns out to want more time is re-quoted rather than quietly extended.

The rooms, the water and the quiet

Eight photographs on the gallery page. The captions say what each one shows, and none of them is presented as a visit that took place at Cedarlight Day Spa.

  • Warmed stones set in a row along a covered back on a massage table in a softly lit room.
Warmed stones rest in place while a relaxation massage is under way.
  • A timber-lined sauna with tiered benches, a small window and a wooden bucket on the floor.
The sauna bench is cleared, wiped and aired between sittings.
  • A stack of folded white towels on a sunlit ledge with a single red rose laid on top.
Towels and a robe are set out for each guest and laundered after every visit.

The people who do the work

Four people, each concentrating on part of the six services. A visitor may ask for a particular one through the contact form, and availability is confirmed separately.

  • A made-up treatment table under a shuttered window.

    Marisol Vance

    Founder and spa director

Opened Cedarlight in 2019 and still takes most of the first-visit consultations. Agrees the service, the length and the price with a guest before a booking is made, and re-quotes a visit that turns out to want more time rather than quietly extending it.

  • An open sauna doorway looking in on tiered timber benches and a wooden bucket.

    Priya Raghunathan

    Lead massage practitioner

Works across the signature relaxation massage and the scalp and shoulder ritual. Asks about pressure and about any area to leave alone before the hour starts, then checks the pressure once more partway through.

  • A reed diffuser on a pale surface, its sticks fanned out above the bottle.

    Owen Ledbetter

    Esthetician, facials and body polish

Runs the cedar steam facial and the mineral salt body polish. Reads every enquiry against scent and ingredient sensitivities, so the products for a visit are chosen and named in advance rather than discovered in the room.

  • A cedar-lined sauna cabin with its bench and a wooden water bucket.

    Naomi Fitzgerald

    Guest experience coordinator

Answers the contact form, arranges the sauna and quiet-room afternoons and explains what a first visit includes. Keeps the day spaced so no booking is hurried along and the quiet room stays quiet.

What guests have said

  • I said what the hour was for and the pressure was checked twice without my having to bring it up. The price I was quoted was the price I paid.

Delia M. · signature relaxation massage

  • Every product used on my face was named before it was opened, which mattered to me. Nobody suggested the facial would fix anything.

Rafael O. · cedar steam facial

  • Two hours in the sauna and the quiet room, and at no point was I moved along. The published information matched the actual afternoon.

    Junie A. · sauna and quiet-room afternoon

Four questions, answered plainly

How should a visitor choose a service?

Start with the service descriptions, the lengths and the prices. Contact the spa when two options look equally suitable, or book the first-visit consultation and decide in the room.

Are the displayed prices final?

Published prices apply to the stated scope and length. Any “from” price is confirmed in writing before a booking is held, and a longer visit is quoted again rather than added to the bill afterwards.

Is Cedarlight a clinic?

No. Cedarlight is a day spa. The services are for rest and comfort, they are not treatment for any condition, and nothing here is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Can a visitor request a particular practitioner?

Yes. Name a preferred practitioner in the contact form and the spa will say whether the hours line up before anything is held.

A question about a service, a length or a price

The contact form takes a question and sends it to the spa. Book goes to the arrangements page; neither one confirms a time by itself.
