A day spa that agrees the shape of the visit first
Cedarlight Day Spa is a day spa at 118 Larkspur Row in Asheville, working to an afternoon agreed before it starts.
The spa takes six services and nothing else. Each one has a written scope and a published price, and what a visitor is looking for is read against that scope before anything begins. A visit that would need more than the booked service is re-quoted at that point, and the visitor decides.
Nothing is added during a visit. There is no upsell at the table, no package, and no charge that appears only at the desk on the way out. What the appointment was booked for is what it delivers, unless somebody agreed otherwise first.
Three principles
-
The visit is agreed before the price is fixed
A published price applies to a published scope. What the visitor is looking for is described back in the spa’s own words first, and any difference is named then rather than at the end.
-
A preference is asked for once, at the start
Pressure, scent and any areas to leave out are settled before a treatment begins, and they are written down. Nobody is asked to make that decision face down on a table.
-
No promised outcome
The spa states what it will do. It makes no health claim, diagnoses nothing, treats no condition, and attaches no result to a service beyond the hour it occupies.
What an appointment looks like
-
Step 1
The visit is described
In words, with the constraints and the timing said out loud before anything is booked.
-
Step 2
The scope is confirmed
One of the six services, or a plain statement that none of them fits today.
-
Step 3
The price is confirmed
Out loud, before the appointment begins, including what would change it.
-
Step 4
The visit is closed out
Against the scope that was agreed, with a note of anything worth knowing before the next visit.
What this spa does not do
Cedarlight Day Spa is a day spa and not a clinic. It does not diagnose anything, treat any condition, or offer a medical or therapeutic service, and a visitor asking for one is referred elsewhere. It also takes no walk-ins: every appointment is arranged in advance so the room and the time are genuinely free.
A question about a service, a price or a preference
The contact form takes a question and sends it to the spa. Book goes to the arrangements page; neither one confirms a time by itself.
