Four people, four records

Four people run Fernhollow Day Spa between them. Each record states the role held and the two services it looks after, so a visitor can tell who gives the massage and who answers the message before writing. The photograph beside each record shows the work that role looks after rather than the person, because none of the four are photographed.

The four records

  • Warm dark stones laid along the back of a person lying face down on a massage table, with a wood stove lit behind.

    Helen Marsh

    Founder and lead practitioner

Helen Marsh opened Fernhollow Day Spa on Birch Mill Lane and still gives most of the warm stone massages, warming the stones, asking about pressure before starting and pouring the tea at the end. Helen reads the enquiries about a warm stone massage herself, and her reply states which times are actually open rather than inviting a visitor to hope.

    Service focus

    • Warm stone massage
    • Unhurried massage
  • A massage table made up with a white sheet and a brown throw beside a deep bathtub and a wood-tile wall.

    Daniel Okafor

    Massage practitioner

Daniel Okafor gives the unhurried massages and prepares the paired suite before each booking. The pressure and any areas to leave alone are asked about first, and the full hour is spent on the table. Questions about a paired booking sent through the contact form are answered by Daniel before the visit, not after it.

    Service focus

    • Unhurried massage
    • Paired suite
  • An indoor spa pool along a wood-effect wall, with a white column and a wooden deck at its edge.

    Priya Nandakumar

    Sauna and pool host

Priya Nandakumar looks after the sauna, the steam room and the pool, and shows each visitor round on arrival in about five minutes. Towels, robes and water are kept topped up through the day, and the lounge is kept quiet. A visitor unsure whether a day pass or a single session suits them is answered by Priya in the first reply.

    Service focus

    • Sauna and steam session
    • Pool and lounge day pass
  • A white rose arrangement in a ceramic pot beside two lit candles on the front desk.

    Tom Reilly

    Front desk and bookings

Tom Reilly answers the contact form, writes the quotations for private group days and confirms every date in writing. He keeps no booking system: an enquiry opens a conversation and a written reply follows during opening hours. Nothing sent through this website books a visit on its own.

    Service focus

    • Private group day
    • Pool and lounge day pass

Ask for the practitioner a visit needs

A request for a specific practitioner is recorded and answered directly. Availability is confirmed separately, and a named request does not hold a visit on its own.

Or write to hello@fernhollowspa.example and the spa replies during opening hours.
