What the two forms collect

This website has two forms and no tracking. The sections below state what each form collects, why it is collected, who else handles it, how long it is kept and how a visitor can have it removed.

The notice, in ten parts

Effective date

What the contact form collects

The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service chosen from the list, the kind of enquiry, the number of people, a visit date, any access or comfort needs and the message text. No other field is present and no hidden field is added. The form does not collect payment details and the website has no payment page.

What the subscribe form collects

The subscribe form collects an email address and the path of the page the address was entered from. The path is kept so the spa knows which page prompted the subscription; it is not used to build a profile of the visitor.

Why the information is collected

A contact message is collected to answer the enquiry it contains, to confirm the price for the scope described and to agree a date. A subscribed address is used only to send the spa notes described beside the form, and never for a different purpose.

Who else receives it

Messages and subscriptions are transmitted by an email delivery service acting on the spa's instructions. [PROCESSOR NAMES TO BE LISTED AT LAUNCH.] No information from either form is sold, rented or shared for advertising, and no advertising or analytics script runs on this website.

How long it is kept

A contact message is kept for as long as the enquiry is open and for twelve months afterwards, so a returning visitor can be answered in context. A subscribed address is kept until the visitor unsubscribes or asks for removal.

Security, stated honestly

The forms are sent over an encrypted connection and access to messages is limited to staff who answer them. No transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely safe from interception, and the spa does not claim otherwise.

What a visitor can choose

Every field on the subscribe form is optional in the sense that nobody must subscribe. On the contact form the telephone number is optional and a message can be sent without it. Every spa notes email carries an unsubscribe link that works without a reply.

Asking for deletion

A request to see, correct or delete stored information can be sent by email or telephone using the details below. The spa confirms in writing once the request has been carried out.

Picture and film credits

Every photograph on this website, and the opening film, were made by somebody else. Eighteen entries are listed below: six photographs under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, eleven photographs in the public domain or released under CC0, and the film recorded from one of the attributed photographs. The Attribution licence asks for two things: that the creator is named, and that any change made to the work is indicated. Both are done for every entry, and this page is linked from the foot of every page because the licensed work appears on every page.

The change is the same in every photographic case. Each frame was cropped to the shape the page needed, resized, colour-graded with one shared grade, and re-encoded to AVIF, WebP and JPEG. Nothing was retouched, composited or captioned, and no person was added to or removed from any frame. The film was made differently and is described in its own entry.

Eleven of the entries above are in the public domain or were released under CC0, which asks for nothing at all: one photograph by MKFI, four by Anne and David from Kent, England UK, one by Positive Image Photographic Services, one from the Medical History Museum, Gothenburg, whose photographer is not recorded, one from the Hot Springs National Park Archives of the National Park Service, and three released under CC0 by Salgo60, Jebulon and Daniel Rueda. They are credited above anyway, because the work is theirs. No other public-domain picture is used on this website.

Typefaces

The two typefaces on this website, Literata and Sora, are served from this site’s own files under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. No request goes to a font service while a page is read.
