Websites, Web Apps and Footprint Checks
Six services, each described here as it is actually delivered — what is included and what is not. Every one of them starts with a free estimate, and a free estimate carries no obligation of any kind.
Modern Landing Websites
A custom build takes weeks because everything is drawn from a blank page. Most clients do not need that for a website — they need a good one, live, soon. That is what these are for.
How it works in practice
Each one is a finished multi-page site with its own design language: its own layout, typography, colour and structure. The catalogue spans several layout directions rather than one template recoloured, which is why three are shortlisted rather than one — comparing three finished designs is a different exercise from imagining one.
The three are chosen up front and not swapped later, because “can we see another one?” has no natural end. All three are built out before anything is decided, so the choice is made between three versions of the client’s own site rather than three strangers’. The words and the photographs come from the client; there is no placeholder fallback, so the clock starts when the content is in hand and the whole thing is measured in days rather than the weeks a design drawn from scratch takes.
Custom-Designed Websites
The catalogue answers most of it — 140 finished designs, rebranded and live in days. This is the other case: a client who already knows what the site should look like and is not going to find it in a finished design. The site is drawn from a blank page instead, around one organisation, with its own layout, its own page set and its own look.
How it works in practice
It starts with a conversation about what the site has to do and who it is talking to. The drawing comes before the code because that is the cheap place to change your mind: moving a section on a drawing costs an afternoon, and moving it in a site already built costs part of the build.
That is the trade this route asks for. It takes weeks where the catalogue takes days, and the design phase is the whole reason to pick it — if a finished design in the catalogue would have done, that is the cheaper answer and EZWebee will say so.
Custom Web Apps
Off-the-shelf software makes the client change their process to suit the software. A custom build goes the other way: the process stays, and the software is shaped around it. That is worth doing when a client has a way of working that actually matters — a booking rule, a pricing structure, an approval step, a report nobody else produces.
How it works in practice
These are built as web applications, so they open in a browser on any device: nothing to install, nothing waiting on an app store, and one live version that everybody is using at once.
What it costs depends on the features, the integrations and the deployment involved, and it is one person quoting rather than an agency billing its overhead through the number. Once the scope is written and the price is agreed, the price moves only if the scope does.
Moving Off a Website Subscription
A site on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or a managed WordPress plan is rented. The fee is charged for as long as the client wants the site to exist, the plan decides what the site is allowed to do, and the pages are held in a format no other developer can simply pick up and continue. Stop paying and the website goes dark.
How it works in practice
A move done carelessly throws away everything the old site earned. Every address that works today is sitting in a search index, in somebody’s bookmarks, on a business card or in an old email; if those addresses stop answering, the visitors they carry stop arriving. That is the part a cheap move skips, and it is the part this one is built around.
It is a move rather than a rewrite: the wording does not have to change and the design can stay recognisably the same, which is what makes it quicker than starting again — though where the old design is the part nobody liked, a catalogue front-end can serve as the new shell instead. The order of the switchover is deliberate, so there is never a window where the business is stranded between two sites.
Website Tune-Ups & Clean-Ups
Websites rot quietly. One that loaded in two seconds when it was built now takes eight on a phone. A plugin nobody updated is quietly serving malware to visitors. Spam links have been injected into pages the owner never looks at, and search engines have started pushing the site down because of them. None of it announces itself — it is usually found out when the enquiries dry up, or when a browser starts showing a red warning page in front of its own website.
How it works in practice
The check comes first, and it is the same check whoever built the site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or hand-written HTML, and it does not have to be a site EZWebee built. What comes back is written in plain language and ordered worst first, because a printout of scanner warnings nobody can act on is not a finding.
The clean-up is quoted after that check rather than before it. How much can actually be repaired depends on the platform and on the access granted — some platforms simply do not let anyone in far enough — and promising a fix for something nobody has looked at yet is how that promise gets broken. Where the access and the platform allow the work, the same measurements are taken again afterwards, so the improvement is a number rather than an assurance.
Digital Footprint & Exposure Check
Most organisations have a larger public footprint than they realise. Old subdomains still resolving. A staff email address sitting in a leaked password dump. Documents left indexed by a search engine. A supplier’s breach that quietly included their customer list. None of it is hidden — simply nobody has looked.
How it works in practice
EZWebee looks, using public and lawfully accessible sources only. No hacking, no social engineering, no touching systems that do not belong to the client. The point is to see the client the way an outsider sizing them up already can.
What it is not is a guarantee that nothing else is out there. It is a snapshot of what an outsider could find on the day it was run, from sources anyone could reach — something can surface next month that was not there this month, and a report that claimed otherwise would be selling a certainty nobody has.
Not sure which service is right for you?
Ask for an estimate. It is free, it costs nothing to find out, and it commits you to absolutely nothing — no obligation, no pressure, no upselling. EZWebee will listen, ask the right questions, and say plainly what is needed and what it would cost. If that turns out to be nothing, it will say that too.
