Privacy notice
This site has two forms. This page states what each one collects, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed. It also credits every photograph on the site.

What the contact form collects
The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service chosen, the venue or town, the approximate guest count, an optional note on colours or style, the date or season, and the message typed into it. Nothing else is collected by the form and no field on it is hidden.
That information is used to answer the enquiry and for nothing else. It is not sold, rented or used to build a profile, and it is not passed to an advertising network.
What the subscribe form collects
The subscribe form collects an email address and nothing else. No name, no telephone number and no address is asked for or stored.
The address is used to send occasional notes about dates still open and work recently finished. Every message carries a one-click removal link.
Why the information is collected
Both forms exist for one reason: to let someone reach Marlowe & Vine Events without having to telephone during opening hours.
There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising pixel and no third-party cookie. Nothing on these pages tracks a visitor between sessions or between sites.
Who else receives the information
A form submission is delivered by an email service acting on the office’s instructions. That service can see the contents of the message in order to deliver it, and is not permitted to use it for anything else.
Suppliers are told only what they need in order to quote or to work the date, and only once the couple has agreed to the introduction. The site itself is served as static files by a hosting provider, which keeps ordinary server logs; those logs are the hosting provider’s, not the office’s.
How long it is kept
Contact enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for twelve months afterwards, so that a returning couple’s earlier plans can be found.
Files for a wedding that took place are kept for two years for accounting, then deleted. A subscribe address is kept until it is removed, either by the link in a message or by asking the office directly.
Security, and its limits
Form data travels over an encrypted connection. Access to the office mailbox is limited to the people who answer it.
No payment details are collected anywhere on this site. A deposit, where one applies, is arranged directly with the office.
Choices a visitor has
Nobody has to use either form. The telephone number and the address are published on the contact page for exactly that reason.
A subscriber can leave the list at any time and does not have to give a reason.
Asking for removal
A request to see, correct or delete stored information can be sent to the office email address, and is answered within thirty days.
Deletion covers the enquiry and the subscribe record. It cannot remove a message from a mailbox belonging to someone who was copied on it outside this site.

Questions about this notice go to the office’s published email address or to the address on the contact page.
