The four people who do the work

Four florists work at 112 Ashfield Row. The six services are divided between them in pairs, so every service has someone whose day it mostly is, and a visitor always knows who that would be.

  • Two galvanised buckets of garden roses, sedum and astrantia standing on the workshop bench.

    Rosalind Keefe

    Founder and lead florist

Leads the wedding and sympathy work and takes the consultations where a brief still has to be found. Sets the buying list every market morning, and says plainly when a requested flower will not be worth its price that week.

  • A winter arrangement of pampas grass and a red carnation in a grey pot on a stone step.

    Marcus Oyelaran

    Senior floral designer

Builds the vase arrangements and the larger tributes, and keeps shape and palette consistent across a run of them. Every piece is worked from what the buckets actually hold that morning rather than from a catalogue picture.

  • A bridal bouquet of pink roses, white freesia and silver brunia, held so the wearer stays out of frame.

    Priya Raghunathan

    Client and order coordinator

Collects the details that make an enquiry useful: the date, the address, the occasion, the palette and anything the recipient should not be sent. This role helps choose an appropriate service without promising a delivery slot through the form.

  • Orange oriental poppies in a slim red glass vase, petals fallen on the table.

    Tomas Beaulieu

    Workshop and conditioning assistant

Cuts, strips and conditions every delivery as it arrives, and keeps the buckets, the cold store and the tools clean. The role records what came in short, so the counter is never selling a stem the workshop does not have.

Service focus

The six services are divided between the four florists in pairs. A visitor may ask for a particular florist through the contact form; availability is confirmed separately.

A question about a bouquet, a date or a price

The contact form takes a question and sends it to the shop. Book goes to the ordering page; neither one confirms a date by itself.
