Lead groomer
Marisol Okafor has groomed dogs professionally since 2011 and leads the full groom and haircut work at Brushwood. She plans every cut with the owner at drop-off, repeating back the length and shape before the clippers come out, and she is the groomer who handles breed trims and detailed hand-scissoring. Owners of poodles, doodles and terriers most often ask for her by name.
Bather and deshedding specialist
Declan Reyes runs the bathing room, where every groom begins, and carries out most of the deshedding treatments for shepherds, huskies and retrievers. He is known for his patience with large, strong or nervous dogs, and he takes short breaks during a long bath rather than hurrying a dog that is unsettled. He also handles the bath and tidy appointments on Saturday mornings.
Cat and puppy groomer
Priya Lindqvist takes the cat grooming sessions on cat-only Wednesdays and most puppy introduction visits during the rest of the week. She uses low-handling methods, works in short stages and stops a session when an animal has had enough, rather than pushing through. Owners with anxious cats, or with a puppy on its first visit, are usually booked with her.
Front desk coordinator
Tobias Wren answers the telephone and the contact form, confirms which service suits a pet and what it will cost, and keeps vaccination records and health notes on file so the groomers see them before a pet arrives. He also calls owners when their pet is ready for collection, and he fits walk-in nail trims around booked appointments when the table is free.
Between them, the four cover every service on the list. Mention a preferred groomer in the contact form or on the telephone, and the front desk replies with the times that groomer genuinely has free.
