Service
Which service should be chosen?
Coat type and how long it has been decide it. A wash, a dry and a tidy of the feet, face and rear with no length taken off the body is the bath and tidy; a full clip or scissor shape worked to the coat is the full groom; a wire coat plucked out by hand rather than cut is the hand strip. A double coat dropping its undercoat wants the de-shed treatment and never a shave. Nails and ears on their own are the nail trim and ear clean, and a puppy under six months starts with the puppy first visit.
Are the listed prices final?
The listed price is what the counter charges for that service, and every one is printed on the services page rather than quoted on request. Where a price is marked from, it moves with the size of the dog and the state the coat is in, and that figure is said out loud before the dog goes on the table rather than added at the counter afterwards.
What if the chosen service does not suit the coat?
The groomer says so and names the one that does, before starting. That applies at the table and in the reply to a message. Nothing is begun on a service that will not work and nothing is charged for a service that was not carried out.
Contact
Does this website book an appointment?
No. The Book action opens the contact page and the contact form sends a message that a groomer reads during opening hours, and neither one holds a table by itself. A time is reserved only once the salon has replied and the day and the hour have been agreed, so a message sent at midnight is answered the following working morning rather than booked overnight.
Still not answered here? A message describing the situation reaches a groomer directly. Open the contact page and a groomer replies during opening hours.
Can a particular groomer be requested?
Yes, and naming the groomer in the message is the whole of it. If that groomer is not working on the day being asked about, the reply says so and offers the days they are, rather than quietly putting the appointment with somebody else. All four take every service on the board, and the groomer who starts a dog is the groomer who finishes it.
How are changes and cancellations handled?
A message through the contact form or an email as early as possible is all that is needed. The salon asks for as much notice as can reasonably be given so the table can go to somebody else, and it does not charge for a cancellation.
Practical
What should be done before the appointment?
Walk the dog first, so that it arrives having emptied itself and having used some of the energy a two-hour appointment will otherwise go up against. Feed it several hours earlier rather than on the way in. Bring nothing: shampoo, towels and everything else are here. What does help is saying what the coat has been through since the last groom, including any brushing that did not happen, because a mat found at the table is easier to plan for when it was mentioned in the message.
What happens to the details in the form?
The name, email address, telephone number and message go to Bramble & Paw Pet Grooming so that a groomer can reply, and they are not used for marketing unless the subscribe form was filled in separately. The privacy notice sets out how long they are kept and how to ask for them to be deleted.

A ninth question is welcome
Anything not covered above reaches a groomer through the contact form and gets an answer during opening hours.

A short note when the salon changes something
Holiday hours, a groomer joining or leaving, a price that moves. Two or three notes a year and nothing else.
