What clients have said

Six clients describe how the enquiry, the appointment and the price compared with what the site said. Each comment names the client, the service and when the visit took place.

I booked a gel manicure after a bad experience elsewhere with gel that lifted within a week. Mei asked how I use my hands at work before choosing the base, explained that wear depends on that as much as on the product, and opened the sealed tool pouch in front of me. Three weeks later the colour was still intact apart from a little growth at the cuticle.

The pedicure was exactly as described on the site: a soak, trimming, heel smoothing with a file and polish, with no blade anywhere near my feet. Rosa noticed a toenail that looked sore and suggested I have a podiatrist look at it rather than painting over it. I appreciated being told plainly instead of being sold something.

I brought a photo of a floral design and Priya said at the start that the full version would take longer than the nail art slot, then offered a simpler accent-nail version at the listed price. I chose the simpler one and it came out neat and even on both hands. Nothing was added to the bill at the end.

My nails split constantly, so I asked through the contact form whether an overlay or a gel manicure made more sense. The reply explained the difference clearly and suggested the overlay without pushing extensions. The appointment ran to the stated time and the price was the one on the page.

Jordan booked my patch test when I called and explained why it needed to be two days before. At the appointment my brows were mapped with a pencil first and I was shown the shade before the tint went on. The shape stayed close to my own brows, which is what I had asked for.

A plain manicure with a clear buff, done carefully and quietly. The cuticles were pushed back rather than cut, the file was new, and the studio was calm on a Saturday morning. The reply to my enquiry had given me the price and the time, and both matched on the day.

The name of a service and a rough time range is enough to start. Lacquer Room replies with the times that are actually open.
