How a visit works
A visit begins with the service named and the price confirmed, not with a look at the nails that leads to a longer list. Lacquer Room is a nail and beauty studio rather than a medical practice: it does not treat nail fungus, ingrown nails or skin conditions. Where a nail or the skin around it looks as if it needs a doctor or a podiatrist, the technician says so before starting instead of working over it.

How should a visitor choose between a gel manicure and a structured overlay?
A gel manicure adds long-wearing colour to nails that are already reasonably strong. A structured overlay adds a thicker layer of builder gel to support thin or splitting nails. When it is not clear which fits, describing the nails in the contact form is the quickest way to decide.
Are the displayed prices final?
Published prices apply to the scope described on the services page. Removal of another studio's product, and nail art that needs longer than the half-hour slot, are quoted and agreed before work begins.
What should a first-time visitor prepare?
Nothing special. Nails can arrive polished: removal of the studio's own gel is included, and other product is quoted when the appointment is arranged. A brow tint needs a free patch test at least 48 hours before the first appointment.
How are tools cleaned between clients?
Metal tools are cleaned, sterilized in an autoclave and opened from a sealed pouch at the table. Files and buffers are single-use or given to the client to take home. Pedicure basins are scrubbed and disinfected after every appointment.
