What happens to the details entered on this site

Contact form details

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service the enquiry is about and a message. Those fields are sent to Wilder & Ash Hair Salon so that a stylist can read the enquiry and reply to it.

Subscribe details

The subscribe band asks for an email address and records which page it was submitted from. Nothing else is collected there, and the address is used only for the occasional note about hours, stylists and prices.

Why the details are held

Contact details are held to answer an enquiry and to arrange an appointment that follows from it. Subscribe details are held to send the notes that were asked for. Neither set is used to build a profile, and neither is sold.

Who else sees them

Form submissions travel through the service that hosts this website and the service that delivers the salon's email. Those processors handle the message in transit and store it only as long as delivery requires. No advertising network, analytics vendor or data broker receives anything entered on this site.

Two categories of processor are involved: the company that hosts this website and the company that delivers the salon’s email. The salon names the current ones on request, by email.

How long they are kept

An enquiry that does not lead to an appointment is deleted within twelve months. An enquiry that does becomes part of the salon's ordinary appointment record. A subscribe address is kept until it is unsubscribed, and is removed within thirty days of that request.

Security, and its limits

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to the salon's mailbox is restricted to the people who answer it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and this notice does not claim otherwise.

Choices available to a visitor

Writing by email instead avoids the form entirely. Every subscribe email carries an unsubscribe link. The optional telephone field on the contact form may be left blank.

Asking for deletion

A request sent to hello@wilderandash.example has the details removed. The salon confirms in writing once that has been done.
