What the two forms on this website collect, why Cedar Hollow Day Spa collects it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed.

What the contact form collects
The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, who the appointment is for, when the visit is wanted, an optional town or state, the service selected, how a reply should be sent, and the message itself. Nothing else is requested and nothing else is required.
It is an ordinary enquiry form and not a secure channel. Card numbers, identity documents and health records should not be sent through it: Cedar Hollow Day Spa is not a medical practice, it does not assess health conditions, and it has no use for any of them.
What the subscribe form collects
The subscribe form collects an email address and nothing else. No name, no telephone number and no postal address is asked for, and an address on that list is not matched to any appointment.
An address given to the subscribe form is used to send the occasional spa note, which covers a change to a service, a change to a price, and the days the spa is closed. It is used for nothing else.
Why the information is collected
Contact details are collected in order to answer the message that was sent and, where an appointment is wanted, to agree a time for it. Subscribe addresses are collected in order to send the notes that were asked for.
Neither form is used to track a visitor across other websites, and nothing either form collects is sold, rented or passed to anybody for marketing.
Who else receives the information
A message sent from this site passes through the hosting provider that serves these pages and the email service that delivers it. Each provider receives only what it needs in order to deliver the page or the message.
No advertising network, analytics service or social platform receives anything submitted through either form, and no other spa, salon or business is sent any part of it.
How long it is kept
A contact message is kept while the enquiry is open, and for the short period after an appointment in which a guest might write again about it. A record that has to be kept to meet a legal obligation is kept only for the period required.
A subscribe address is kept until the person who gave it asks for it to be removed.
Security, and its limits
Pages and forms on this site are served over an encrypted connection, and a message that arrives is read only by the people at Cedar Hollow Day Spa who answer the diary.
No transmission over the internet and no stored record can be guaranteed absolutely secure. That is a limit of the medium, and stating otherwise would be false.
Choices a visitor has
Completing either form is a choice. The services, the prices and the photographs are all readable without giving an email address, and no page here is hidden behind one.
A subscriber can stop the notes at any time, and doing so has no effect on an appointment that is already booked.
Asking for removal
A request to delete a contact message, or to come off the subscribe list, goes by email to hello@cedarhollowspa.example. The word remove is enough, and no reason has to be given.
Cedar Hollow Day Spa reads that mailbox during opening hours and confirms the removal back to the address that asked for it. Where a record has to be kept to meet a legal obligation, the spa says so instead of deleting it quietly.

This notice is revised whenever Cedar Hollow Day Spa changes what it collects, how long it keeps it or who it is shared with, and the effective date above moves with it.
